There's gonna be a sole shakedown...


I read an incredible amount of bullshit on the internet where shoe constructions are concerned. Blakes can't be fixed easily. Norwegians are really heavy and ugly. God wears Goodyear welts...so it was refreshing to come across this thread where homeboy actually knows what he is talking about.

so does the image mean that blake's are easy to fix?

No...the picture does not suggest that blakes are easier to fix. It just highlights the complexity of the argument. A good cobbler will be happy to tell you he can fix anything. A lot of cobblers don't have the correct machinery to fix Blakes hence the difficult to fix reputation. As a consumer the difficult thing is to find a good cobbler, once you have a good cobbler your job is just to hand over the shoes and let an expert do his thing. I just think it is unfair that blake construction is criticised so heavily when the real problem is a lack of skilled shoe repairers. Here is another blog post that backs blakes case.
