MAD Real

So last week I found myself in Madrid, Spain. A city with two incredible Mr. Hare stockists.
The first is called Gallery, a store with a long history of introducing the best of men's fashion to the discerning Madridan. It is a real honour to be in this store as they have been at it for over 20 years. You will find everything from Lanvin to Gareth Pugh and Fornasetti to fine wine.

Black Genets at home amongst the extensive shirt selection.

The new SS12 Turquoise Thelonius next to the classic Blue Suede King Tubby's getting some premium Madrid shelf space.

A short walk across the Jardines del Descrubimianto towards the Piamonte area brings us to the second store. Les Marche Aux Puces is a relative newcomer to the Madrid scene, but gets big oooo's and aaaaarrr's when you mention it to the capitals movers and shakers. I have to admit, it is one of the nicest fashion shoe and accessory specialists I have come across, and I look at these things for a living.
They didn't know I was in town but these greeted me in the window...

...and just inside the door !!

Mark Buxton perfumes
Dior, Dries, Kris Van Assche, Balenciaga...you name it they have accessories by it.
It is a beautiful store that has been converted from and old Library and is situated in the newly exciting Piamonte area where all that is new and fresh in Madrid is happening. Gallery also have a second store called Gallery+ very near by.
So after a long day flying in from London and pounding the streets like the shoe-N, Kofi Annan, what better way to unwind than a launch party for the new Agent Provocateur store in Calle Claudio Coella, 79. Fine Shoes and Fancy Knickers...What can I say? I am living the dream.
Bumped into the fabulous Yasmina Dexter. International superstar DJ and enigma.
Of course bumped into the awesome Abena Robinson who I met when she was a shy shop girl in the late 90s, and now look a her.

Obligatory AP merchandise shot. This number is from the Soiree range. That's playwear for Ballers.
This post was brought to you by your humble correspondent rocking Turquoise Vonneguts with my new green pants from Hackett.
Make my own color rules.

Adios !!
