Random stuff I never blogged because I was busy at the time...

Where can I get these half cabs people? That's summer Mr. Hare right there.

Why produce a great poster like this before the website actually exists or is there some secret URL Mr. Hare needs that I don't have yet?

Nom de Guerre Red Wings. Wowser!

Who needs money when your wallet looks this good?

Has everyone else just buried their heads in the sand because of the economic downturn and Lanvin are the only company still making dope shoes. It is beginning to look like Lanvin have Mr. Hare on the payroll. They don't! but...

Summer time! And the Lanvins are easy...

Mr. Hare had the marvellous fortune to already have visited Santa Cruz, San Francisco and LA since the beginning of the new year. As a day job requirement so not in the leisurely sense. This gave me the opportunity to reacquaint myself with the wonderful sensation of sun on my skin and a spring in my step. It is in such an elated state that I present these new offerings from Lanvin, available now at Browns. Happy New Year everybody.

Check it out Yo!

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you, without...

'Actual happiness always looks pretty squalid in comparison with the over compensations for misery. And of course, stability isn't nearly so spectacular as instability. And being contented has none of the glamour of a good fight against misfortune, none of the picturesqueness of a struggle against temptation, or a fatal overthrow by passion or doubt. Happiness is never grand.'

Mr. Hare is reading Huxley. A Brave New World begins today for us all. I offer these words in defence of my actions to my ex-wife. To the rest of you, may they serve as a reminder that the complete picture is made of good and bad and that the best result shall have been influenced by both.

George Bush - Some good news

When a pair of black leather oxfords hurled at President George W. Bush in Baghdad produced a gasp heard around the world, a Turkish cobbler had a different reaction: They were his shoes.

"We have been producing that specific style, which I personally designed, for 10 years, so I couldn't have missed it, no way," said Ramazan Baydan in Istanbul. "As a shoemaker, you understand."

A new run of 15,000 pairs, destined for Iraq, went into production Thursday, he said. A British distributor has asked to become the Baydan Shoe Co.'s European sales representative, with a first order of 95,000 pairs, and a U.S. company has placed an order for 18,000 pairs. Four distributors are competing to represent the company in Iraq, where Baydan sold 19,000 pairs of this model for about $40 each last year.

Read the rest of this article at The International Herald Tribune. (It must be true.)

This Ramazan guy has an eye for ballistics. Based on his stunning recognition of his brand of shoes by their trajectory alone I think we should get him to take another look at the JFK tapes and consider making him an honourary UN weapons inspector.

And just in case you missed it.

Oh look! I've got a website too...

If you visit Mr. Hare on a regular basis then I would really appreciate your opinion on my first collection 'Purest Form'. I know you are out there Dresden, Singapore, Wembley, Bandar Seri Begawan, San Ch'Ung. Mr. Hare knows where the black folks at!
Seriously this is a substantial undertaking for a humble blogger so tell me honestly what you think.
